It’s the thought that counts…
When I think of the New Year, I think of starting fresh and starting new. A cleaned out home is nothing but refreshing. When it comes to gifts that we may not necessarily need or find a purpose for (keeping in mind the lovely thought behind them) there is something you can do without feeling guilty about keeping them tucked up, up and away. Here are just some ideas to help you get started:
Donate your unwanted sweaters, scarves, hats, gloves even fleece pajamas to your local homeless shelters. Nothing hurts more than to see the homeless sitting on a bench in the winter time freeeezing! Breaks my heart into a million pieces.
Donate your electronics or ones that you’ve already upgraded to a local underprivileged school. We all know how hard it is for schools to get the necessary equipment to help children succeed in their education.
Donate your kid’s doubled Christmas gifts to local children’s hospitals. What better way to teach your kids how to give to others than by helping children in the hospital have some fun at the same time?
Whenever the holidays are upon us always remember that “The best way of spreading Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear!”
