Happy New Year Bloggers! I hope that you all enjoyed the holidays and are now ready to take on 2014! Leaving 2013 was so hard for me because it was such an amazing year with fun memories as well as a trying year for my family having to say goodbye unexpectedly to my aunt and uncle.
Today’s post is just a reflection of what 2013 has brought to my life. I’ve always been a lover of traveling, yet I usually only get to take one or two trips a year and how I managed four I will never know! 😉
I’m so excited to see where 2014 takes me as well as continuing to share with you all the fun ideas I have! Thank you for the support and for following my little blog of words. If you are visiting for the first time…please leave me a comment hello and follow me…I promise you won’t regret it! 🙂
My year started off with official wedding planning for my best friend!
I was then surprised by my lovely ladies who took me out to a birthday brunch/massage in February.
My year of traveling began in Chicago for my loves 30th birthday. He always dreamed of visiting this state since he was a little boy. We made it come true with a visit to the United Center to see his favorite basketball team, the Chicago Bulls! Chicago is one of the cleanest places I’ve ever been too…and VERY cold!
A month later I ventured back to the airport and made my way to Panama City, Panama for my childhood friend Reena’s bachelorette party- my first for the year. I had so much fun touring the country, zip-lining in the jungle, eating and dancing our nights away! It will definitely be a trip I will never forget.
A bachelorette no more, I watched Reena go from Miss to Mrs in a lavish traditional Indian wedding in May!
Traveling again in June, ROAD TRIP to Ocala, Florida to see my baby cousin graduate from high school. This trip meant so much to me because it was the last time I would spend time with my aunt.
Not even a week later I was off in my second Road Trip of the year, this time traveling to Virginia Beach, VA to be a guest to a beach wedding. This wedding just confirmed my desire to have a destination/beach wedding one day!
July was the hardest month of 2013. My family said goodbye to my uncle Felix who fought his battle with cancer for many years. We then traveled back to Florida to lay my aunt Nilda to rest who past unexpectedly. I will always cherish the moments that I had with them both. It is true what they say…you never know when it is your time to go, so appreciate every day that God has blessed you with.
August was such a wonderful pick me up as I took my third road trip with 9 other ladies to celebrate my best friend Roselyn’s bachelorette party in Ocean City, MD. Most of us went for the first time and it was so much fun! Who would of thought I could drive a 12 passenger van all by myself! 🙂
September rang in with Roselyn’s wedding. I could not have been more proud to be her right handed gal then on this day!
The year then slowed down until the December! A month full of celebrations- my beautiful friend Joanna’s Engagement Party, our first annual ugly sweater brunch and of course some photos from my holidays with family and friends!
I am very grateful for all the opportunities that were upon me. I hope 2014 is just as fun! Looking forward to so many new memories! Thank you for reading!!
