Wedding Color of the Year: MINT!

One of the biggest wedding trends of 2014, is the color mint that seems to keep popping up on my computer screen! Mint is actually such a pretty and unique color that most people don’t think of until they’ve seen it done. Check out some of my favorite photos I’ve found using the mint color scheme paired up with other amazing colors to make it stand out. If you’re a newly bride and are having trouble picking your colors- you may just have found your answer!

First thing to think of when picking colors is you need your main color contrasted by a side color that will make your main color POP!

Are you feeling the mint? I think it’s beautiful!

Hottest New Trend- Crop Wedding Gowns?

Crop tops were one of the hottest trends of 2013 and they are finding their way into our new year in full bloom. I’m in love with the Kardashian style- crop top with a midi/ high wasted skirt- so “modern sexy.” Next month I”ll be celebrating my last birthday of my twenties and as I’m mentally thinking about the fabulous outfit that I want to wear, I wondered if there was such a thing as crop wedding gowns? To my surprise there are a bunch! I just couldn’t help resist but to share them with you all. Check out some of the different styles below. Most of these dresses are new collections emerging here in 2014!

This Houghton Wedding Gown is from their winter 2014 collection and was featured in Weddings Unveiled. You can actually try it on if you live in the Boston area- Houghton is having a trunk show this weekend only at Ceremony Bridal. This dress is perfect for the more traditional bride who wants a little peekaboo.

This is a beaded Hayley Paige wedding Dress from their spring 2014 collection. You can visit http://www.wedsociety.com for more info. I like this dress for a riskier bride who isn’t afraid to show those abs!!!

How adorable are these Bridal Maxi Bohemian chic dresses? The talented custom makers are made by Daughtersofsimone and can be visited at their Etsy store. Dress #1 $1650 Dress #2 $1750. Perfect fit for the bohemian/hippy style bride or even for a beachy/destination wedding!

The next two dresses are my absolute FAVORITES! Complete glamour and I would definitely consider wearing both. I couldn’t find the designer on the dress Sarah Jessica Parker is wearing but I’m in total love! ❤ Dress #2 is by designer Zahavit Tshuva.

Last but not least- Oscar de la Renta designed this Bridal bustier top, Ivory silk palazzo pants and a Tulle Embroidered jacket.

These gowns are so different and fun! Would any of you wear these? If yes, which one(s) are your favorite? Let me know in the comments below.

Winter Wedding Inspirations

When I was younger I always pictured myself having a hot summer wedding because I really really love the beach and do not like being cold, but I’m seeing more and more people beating the cold and making their wedding day so beautiful. As a jersey girl you know snow is a part of our lives and the older I get the more I’m appreciating the beautful side of it. There’s nothing more aw inspiring than a winter wonderland…just not a blizzard! Lol

Here are some of my favorite winter wedding inspirations for January and February weddings!

This is the type of snow that just makes you fall in love with winter. Who says you can’t have a winter wedding outside. Just add some heaters along side your guests seats for their comfort and waaalaaa!

I thought this was very unique and have never seen a favor like this before. I love the idea of sending encouraging thoughts of “love” on your wedding day. Start a fire and see where the flame takes you!

How in love I am with this bride is unspeakable. From head to toe it screams glamour. The best part it’s not too much.

There is something very classy about having the most simple yet dramatic touches for your venue. In this case less is definitely more. I wouldn’t change a thing.

The perfect addition to a winter wedding. Have your guests warm up to a hot coco bar. You can even make this part of a dessert bar with some coffee and sweets.

For the fashionista! I love this so much. Don’t forget to bring extra heels to dance the night away!

Would you have a winter wedding? Let me know in the comments.
